Sareen Yaqoob

Ephemeral

Slowly stealthily
She grew along,
Passing through woods
She learnt to crawl.
Whispering reeds
Breaking glass,
All she did
Has gone to past.

Now she is a mother,
A daughter and a sister;
Walking behind everyone
She taught us to smile.
Forever she will be the dearest of all,
We remember how she used to fall.
The days passed by, fading away
The memories remain with us today;
God bless her always, my family prays
She gave us happiness the way she stayed.

Death gave us a bereaved blow,
Watching from far, becoming slow.
People remember her good deeds
A path of affliction she used to lead.
Now I realized the fact within
This existing world is a temporary living.
