Er Rashid while talking to Kashmir Life said, “I am presently in Chatro area, I met dozens of delegations and found that Muslim population is being harassed both by the communal forces and the administration.”

Terming the resignation of MoS Home Sajad Kichloo as “a step to safe guard the so called vote bank” Er Rasheed pointed out that the resignation came “belatedly.”

“This should have been done earlier when the killings at Markhundal and Gool incidents took place,” Rashid said and added, “the resignation of Kichloo is a clear indication that the NC-led coalition has accepted its failure to protect the lives of innocent people of Jammu and Kashmir.”

Rashid is the first opposition leader who reached the trouble torn Kishtwar.

Giving the eyewitness account of the present situation of the area, Rashid said, “The situation is tense, Muslim population is harassed, there is hardly any movement on the roads.”

Er Rasheed said that it is the moral responsibility of every leader to visit the people of Kishtwar who are suffering.
