Kachoo Ahmad Ali Khan, former CEC, Leh Autonomous Hill Development Council, Kargil, joined People’s Democratic Party (PDP) after meeting Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, here today.
Minister for Education, Naeem Akhtar and Vice-Chairman, J&K KVIB and MLA Zanskar, Syed Mohammad Baqir Rizvi, were present on the occasion.
Welcoming Kachoo Ahmad Ali Khan into party-fold, Mufti Sayeed hoped that he will work for strengthening the party at the grassroots level by working for the welfare of the people.
Kachoo Ahmad Ali Khan said he was impressed by the bold initiatives taken by Mufti Mohammad Sayeed since he took over as Chief Minister in bringing in a transparent and accountable Government in the State that is working to provide governance at people’s doorsteps.
