Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) president and senior separatist leader Shabir Ahmad Shah has been placed under house arrest.
According to statement, a large contingent of police cordoned residence of Shah and informed him about the latest move of administration.
Spokesman of party condemned “state authorities for their undemocratic approach and said that it is preplanned and calculated step to prevent Shabir Ahmad Shah from his political activities.”
Spokesman added that such curbs and restrictions won’t yield any good for authorities and curbs and restrictions would lead to political chaos.
Spokesman said that Shabir Ahmad Shah was scheduled to address a public gathering at Pulwama on friday and authorities while laying restrictions made it clear that their claim of being part of democracy proved a crude joke and hoax.
