Srinagar: Reacting to the decision of BJP selecting Yogi Adityanath as UP Chief Minister, incumbent MLA Langate Er Rasheed has termed it as the darkest phase of UP history.
In a statement issued here, Rasheed said, “Who doesn’t know Yogi Adityanath belongs to the fascist, radical and anti Muslim class of Sang Parivar and his animosity towards Muslims is beyond any doubt. Elevating him as Chief Minister has proved yet again that elections in UP were contested on pure communal lines and one point agenda of Narendra Modi which is converting India into a Hindu Rashtra is now an open reality.”
Rasheed according to the statement said that it is obvious that BJP leadership was in agreement with the “fascist radicals” within Sang Parivar to nominate Yogi Adityanath as the Chief Minister. “The venom and the hatred of Yogi Adityanath against Muslims has already created a huge wedge between the two communities all over India.”
Rasheed added that the apprehension of Muslims being forced to live like second class citizens in India especially UP, is now a reality.
