Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference (g) in a statement has said that on March 18, police raided Peer Bagh head office and foiled the proposed meeting of pro-freedom leaders. Police laid a siege near Tehreek-e Hurriyat office in Hyderpora and office bearers including visitors were not allowed to enter the office premises.

A spokesperson of the amalgam in a statement issued here said that Hurriyat Conference had organized a program to discuss future strategy about upcoming parliamentary elections and participants were expected to present their view point over the issue.

Strongly criticising the detention of pro-freedom leadership, the spokesperson termed it worst kind of “state terrorism”.

Meanwhile Syed Ali Geelani on Saturday in a statement while criticising state authorities, said that restricting and arresting leadership illustrates their sheer frustration.
