SRINAGAR: A man accused of attempting to murder his son has been arrested in the Sonwar locality of central Kashmir’s Srinagar district.
The accused, identified as Mehmood Ahmad Wani, son of Nazir Ahmad Wani and a resident of Sonawar, Srinagar, according to a police official, stabbed his son (name withheld) following a heated argument.
The victim was quickly evacuated to a nearby hospital, where his overall condition is reported to be stable.
“We have registered an FIR 121/2023 under section 307 of IPC against the accused,” Srinagar Police tweeted, adding that the weapon used in the offense has also been recovered at the site.
