SRINAGAR: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is poised to experience a significant setback in the Kashmir Valley, as several leaders, including prominent figures, are actively contemplating resigning from the party’s basic membership, according to reliable sources.
They informed news agency GNS that this development comes in the wake of a crucial meeting that took place at a hotel in the area a few days ago.
“The leaders have been seriously pondering their decision to exit the party ranks and might make an announcement to this effect in the near future,” they revealed.
“There is anticipation of the formation of an alliance akin to INDIA, composed of parties at the national level. These leaders might either join other parties or establish new ones,” they added.
Meanwhile, GNS has learned that Ravinder Raina, the J&K President of the BJP, is likely to be absent from a party meeting scheduled for today. (GNS)
