FinMin Drabu Cheers For Home Team At Home Turf




In the final match of Rajpora Football Gold Cup 2015 played at Sports Stadium, Pulwama, Rajpora Royals lifts the title by defeating Saffron Supers in the tiebreaker 4:3.

Both the teams played neck to neck giving each other no space to score. In both half’s of the match no goal was scored by either side, match was then decided in tie breaker. For Rajpora Royals four players were successful to find the nets where as Saffron Supers scored 3 out of 5.Thus Rajpora Royals became Champions of the said Tournament.


Chief Guest, who also happens to be the Patron of the Tournament Finance Minister Dr Haseeb A Drabu, preside the function. He later distributed prizes among winners and runners up teams. Winning team bagged one lakh rupees as the runner up team went home with Rs 50,000.

Besides, cash awards of Rs 3000 thousand each was given to player of the tournament – highest scorers, best goal-keeper and the man of the match. The sports event sponsored by the CRPF witnessed Safeena Begum, widow of slain CRPF man Mohamed Shafi Bhat, being part of the prize distribution function. Bhat died in an encounter in Chattisgarh. The sports event is going to be a yearly exercise, Drabu announced.
