FIR Registered Over ‘Obscene Acts’ in Bandipora Market: Police

   

SRINAGAR: Jammu Kashmir police in North Kashmir’s Bandipora on Tuesday evening registered an FIR after a group of boys was found involved in obscene acts in the main market area, creating public nuisance. The action followed credible inputs, and a swift response was carried out in the presence of an Executive Magistrate.

A police spokesperson in a statement said, “Police received information from reliable sources about the incident. Acting on these inputs, a police team along with the Executive Magistrate reached the spot and apprehended several boys engaged in the act. The statement clarified that no girl was involved or apprehended in the case.”

An FIR has been registered under relevant sections of law at Police Station Bandipora. The police have advised media personnel to avoid spreading baseless information and urged the public not to pay heed to rumours. (JKNS)
