SRINAGARA: A fire broke out in a residential-commercial building in Rajouri Kadal, Srinagar, late Saturday evening, injuring two firefighters.
Officials from the Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES) department are on the spot, working to control the blaze.
An official said that the fire originated in a building that serves both residential and commercial purposes. During the operation to contain the fire, two firefighters sustained injuries and were rushed to SMHS Hospital for treatment.
Earlier in the evening, another fire incident occurred in Nawakadal, where a room on the first floor of a three-storey residential house was engulfed in flames.
The causes of both fire incidents are currently under investigation. Fire and Emergency department officials continue their efforts to fully douse the flames and prevent further damage.
