Firing shots were heard in Yachgam village of district Budgam, Tuesday evening, sources said.
Inspector General of Police (Kashmir range) A G Mir confirmed the firing incident to Kashmir Life and said, “forces had a tip off about the presence of some militants in the village, when they were busy in cordoning off the area, some fire shots were fired upon them.”
Mir added “the operation is going on.”
Locals informed Kashmir Life that they heard some fire shots and nobody is allowed to move towards the village.
