SRINAGAR: Five people were killed and seven others were injured in a tragic accident that occurred on Tuesday afternoon.
The incident took place on the Bhaderwah Pathankot road in Doda district when the vehicle they were traveling in skidded off the road and fell into a gorge near Guldanda. The vehicle involved was a Trax (JK06-5071).
Local volunteers and police personnel promptly transported the injured to the hospital. Unfortunately, five individuals were pronounced dead upon arrival, while the seven injured individuals are currently receiving medical treatment.
SSP Doda, Abdul Qayoom, has confirmed the incident and stated that a case has been registered. Further investigation into the accident is underway. (GNS)
