SRINAGAR: The Army detected and safely destroyed five landmines along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district, officials said on Saturday.
Two of the explosives were found by an Army patrol near the border fence in the Basoni Top area on Saturday morning, while three others had been detected in the same area on Friday, they said.
The Army’s Bomb Disposal Squad subsequently neutralised all five landmines through controlled explosions.
No damage was reported during the operation, according to the officials.
