Several families of disappeared persons Monday held a protest sit in at Press Enclave Lal Chowk demanding whereabouts of their dear ones.

The sit in was organized by Forum For Justice Protests Enforced Disappearances (FJEDP).

The members of FJEDP held a sit-in appealing International Community to not issue visas to those who are involved in human rights violations in Jammu and Kashmir.

Keeping eating plats and tumblers in front of them, the families of the disappeared said that like other Eids, this Eid too was not celebrated by victims.

“There was nobody to shop for the children because their dear ones have been forcibly disappeared,” Zahoor Mir, FJEDP chairman said.

“UN and international community should play its role in supporting the cause of victims of Kashmir as is being done in other places,” he demanded.
