JK Bank got a pat for being the state’s best communicator. Finance Minister and bank’s earlier CEO appreciated bank’s corporate communication strategy on Saturday after unveiling its wall calendar.
“In terms of communication there is no better organisation in Jammu & Kashmir nor shall there be any other organization better than the J&K Bank to do it,” Dr Haseeb Drabu said while detailing how best the message goes out to the society from the bank. He was discussing the importance and the reach of the bank in the state. “I always believed that not only we (J&K Bank) communicate very well, we are also best fire fighters of the world.”
Drabu hailed the timely release of the wall calendar and appreciated the team work that had gone into the conceptualization and designing of the calendar at a very short notice.
Unlike other financial institutions, JK Bank runs a full fledged Corporate Communication Department that handles media relations, branding, advertising, promotion and internal communication. The bank had a small press cell but Dr Drabu, as bank’s CEO and Chairman, upgraded it to a full-fledged department. Led by Sajjad Bazaz, it comprises a group of committed professionals that manage banks requirement in audio and print media.
