Kite Polytechnic

Kite Polytechnic an engineering and technology institution of repute located at Vawoosa Rangreth Srinagar managed by Valley Educational Trust (VET), celebrated, Student’s Day, at its campus on Saturday.

In a colourful function dominated by versatile performances of the students including drama and music and a highly appreciated item based on observations of the students viz-a-viz the members of the teaching and non-teaching staff of the college were the main highlights of two hour long program, an official statement said.

Shafqat Iqbal Joint Director Information Kashmir presided over the function and Dr Syed Shujaat Bukhari, Editor Rising Kashmir and Manoj Koul Bureau Chief ETV Urdu were the guests of honour.

Kite 1In his speech Manoj Koul stressed on students to pay equal attention to practical training besides their theoretical knowledge as it was their capability to deliver which would help them professionally.

Koul appreciated the commitment of the students towards preservation of Kashmiri culture which was quite dominant in their performance.

Dr Syed Shujaat Bukhari stressed on over all personality development of the students with special thrust on preservation of distinct identity of the Kashmiris directly linked with the preservation and promotion of Kashmiri language.

He also stressed on diversification of talent with special reference to achievements shown by IIT students in competitive exams in recent past.

In his presidential address Shafqat Iqbal referred to his own engineering background and subsequently his joining of administrative service through competitive examination advised the students to excel through the dint of their hard work.

Iqbal congratulated the management of the institute for building excellent infrastructure which is the basic requirement of an institution imparting technical education. He also congratulated the students for presenting a highly appreciable program.

While the formal welcome address was presented by M Amin Bhat (Trustee VET), Falak Mehraj student of the institution welcomed the guests on behalf of the students.

KiteAll the students who participated in today’s program were awarded certificates and mementoes on the occasion.

Besides the Chairman of Valley Education Trust, Shafiq Qureshi, Nissar Ahmad Bhat Trustee, Asif Ullah Wani Principal, the members of teaching and non-teaching staff and a large number of students where present in the function.
