SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday welcomed devotees at Mela Kheer Bhawani and urged people from across the country to come in large numbers to participate in the forthcoming Amarnath Yatra.
After paying obeisance at Kheer Bhawani temple, LG Sinha told reporters that devotees have come here in large numbers while the administration has made foolproof arrangements for the smooth conduct of the mela.
He said that devotees, including Kashmiri Pandits in large numbers, are taking part in this mela and he prayed for peace, prosperity and progress in Jammu & Kashmir.
LG Sinha said that all the preparations have been made for the smooth conduct of the Amarnath Yatra. “I urge devotees across the country to come and seek blessings of Baba Amarnath. We have made foolproof security arrangements for the forthcoming pilgrimage,” he said. (KNO)
