SRINAGAR: Apparently owing to the Eid festival, the rail is also going on a holiday. Reports indicate that there will be no rail service for Wednesday and Thursday.

Normally, the people require rapid transport on festivals as they need to move around, meet relatives and crowd the markets. However, the train was halted for unknown reasons. Reports indicate that the police advisory has asked Rail authorities to avoid playing trains on the isolated track between Baramulla and Banihal.

The rail is expected to resume the routine on Friday, on the third of Eid.

An official said that it was conveyed in anticipation that the train will not be plying for two days because of the Eid holidays.
