SRINAGAR: In a morning collision between two minibuses at Dhar Road, not far away from the DC Office at Udhampur, three passengers were killed.

The injured, more than six, were immediately evacuated to the district hospital. Doctors on duty said they received two persons dead and one died in the hospital. They said six persons are injured and one of them was critical.

The accident took place when the two mini-buses collided. The worst impact was taken by JK02Q 1889 that turned turtle. Most of the passengers who were in this vehicle were reported injured.

Police have registered a case. They are in the process of identifying the slain persons. Injured in the incident include a few women as well.

An official spokesman said the District Development Commissioner, Udhampur Dr Piyush Singla along with SSP, Rajiv Omparkash Pandey today visited the District Hospital (DH) and Military Hospital Udhampur to take stock of medicare facilities being extended to the persons injured in a Matador accident which occurred at Barrian in Udhampur district here today morning.

He inquired about well being of the injured and instructed the doctors to provide them best possible treatment. He said that free treatment would be extended to them for their fast recovery.

The DDC also expressed sympathies with the bereaved families and prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls
