Gunshots were heard after forces cordoned off a village in Bandipora district on Thursday.
Local sources said that after the firing army today morning cordoned off Matrigam village of the northern district of the Kashmir valley and started search operation.
“The fire was retaliated for sometime but the militants managed to give slip to them (Army). Now they have cordoned off the village,” they said.
