SRINAGAR: Government forces on Wednesday launched a Cordon-and-search operation (CASO) in Goripora area of Hyderpora in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Reports said that a joint team of SOG Budgam and 129 battalion of CRPF cordoned off the Goripora area in Budgam village and conducted house to house searches.
They said that all entry and exit points of the area were sealed by the forces.
Quoting police sources news agency KDC reported that the search operation was launched following inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
Searches were going on in the area when this report was filed.
