Former minister Ghulam-ud-Din Shah passed away on Friday in Srinagar. He was 85.
A veteran politician, Ghulam-ud-Din Shah was elected to Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly from Baramulla Assembly segment in 1977 and was appointed a minister in the council of ministers headed by then Chief Minister, Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah.
Ghulam-ud-Din Shah was father-in-law of former Minister, Mohammad Dillawar Mir and grandfather of legislator, Yawar Dillawar Mir.
In her condolence message, the Chief Minister while expressing solidarity with the bereaved family prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul. Other legislators of her party and ANC have also condoled the demise of Ghulam-ud-Din Shah.
