Officials said floodwaters inundated multiple locations in and around Thathri town, damaging several residential and commercial structures. Initial estimates suggest that property worth several lakh rupees has been affected, although the exact extent of the losses is yet to be assessed.

The National Highway passing through the area was blocked after flood debris accumulated on the road, disrupting vehicular movement and causing inconvenience to commuters. Restoration teams were deployed to clear the debris and reopen the road.

Authorities said they are assessing the damage on the ground and have initiated restoration and clearance operations to restore connectivity and normalcy at the earliest.

The latest incident comes days after road connectivity in Doda district was disrupted when a flash flood and mudslide blocked the road at Prem Nagar, highlighting the continued impact of adverse weather in the region.
