Fresh Snowfall in Higher Reaches as Rain Lashes Kashmir Plains

   

SRINAGAR: Fresh snowfall was reported from the higher reaches of north Kashmir, including Tulail Valley and Kabul Gali in Gurez, on Thursday as rain lashed almost all parts of the Kashmir Valley.

Rain began in several areas, including Srinagar, late on Wednesday night, while snowfall was recorded in the higher reaches of Gurez, including Tulail Valley and Kabul Gali, according to reports.

A seven-day weather update issued by Kashmir Weather has forecast rain and thundershowers at many to most places across Jammu and Kashmir, with no continuous spell expected.

Gusty winds, hailstorms and intense showers are also possible at a few places during the period.

The weather is expected to remain mostly fine on September 18, although a few places may experience thundershowers during the late afternoon or evening.

Dry weather is forecast from September 19 to 22, with brief thundershowers possible at one or two places.
