SRINAGAR: India has condemned a drone attack near Makkah in Saudi Arabia, expressing concern over the incident and its potential impact on civilian lives and infrastructure.
Responding to media queries, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said India reaffirmed its condemnation of attacks on the sovereign territory of Saudi Arabia and any actions that threaten civilians and infrastructure.
Jaiswal said the incident near Makkah was of particular concern because of the city’s special significance to Muslims around the world.
He also expressed hope that peace and stability would be restored in the region at the earliest.
