Senior resistance leader and National Front Chairman, Nayeem Ahmad Khan Monday hurriedly shifted to Kot Balwal jail Jammu from SKIMS, where he was undergoing treatment on the court orders.
According to statement, Khan, who is undergoing detention under Public Safety Act (PSA), was brought to produce before a Srinagar court on April 17. The court on seeing his ailing condition had ordered his medical checkup and accordingly he was admitted in SKIMS.
“A police party which was guarding Khan in SKIMS, since he was admitted in, today shifted him to Kot Balwal jail Jammu,” read the statement.
National Front has strongly condemned the act saying that the arrests and restrictions can’t make Khan to change his political stance on Kashmir. “Khan is facing jails and interrogation centers since his youth and his firm belief is that Jammu Kashmir is a disputed territory. But Khan never gave up his political belief,” read the statement.
