Police arrested two persons and recovered 10 Kg’s of Fukki from them on Friday evening. A police statement said on Saturday.
It added that acting on a specific information regarding transportation of Fukki from Pulwama to Awantipora, police established a Naka at Padgampora. During Naka Checking, two motorcyclists Nisar Ahmad Laway son of Ali Mohammad Laway resident of Lurgam, Tral and Mohammad Ashraf Wani son of Abdul Ahad resident Ladhoo were stopped at naka and 10 Kg’s of fukki were recovered from their possession.
Police said that Nisar and Ashraf were arrested and a case has been registered under FIR No.57/2013 under section 18 NDPS Act and investigation is on.
