A girl hanged herself to death in Sopore while a boy died in road mishap, police said on Sunday evening.
A 17 years old girl (name withheld) and resident of Kahmoh Panzalla, Sopore hanged herself to death at her home.
Police after conducting all legal formalities handed over the body of deceased girl to her next of kin for last rites.
A Tipper bearing registration number JK01N-4921 hit and critically injured a boy identified as Rauf Ahmad Para son of Abdul Aziz resident of Larkipora Magam Tangmarg at Chinkral Mohllah Habakadal, Srinagar. The injured boy was shifted to the Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. The body of deceased boy was handed over to his relatives for last rites.
The police statement further said that a man injured was injured in fire which damaged four structures.
Four structures were damaged in two separate fire incidents in Sopore and Shopian.
Fire broke out in the residential houses belonging to Nazir Ahmad Dar and Assadullah Dar both son of Mohammad Afzal resident of Duroo, Sopore, resulting in partial damage to both the houses.
Meanwhile, fire erupted at Diyaroo in Shopian district resulting in damage to a residential house belonging to Ghulam Nabi Bhat son of Mohammad Bhat resident and a cow shed of Ghulam Qadir Wani son of Gani Wani. In the incident, a person Gulzar Ahmad Bhat son of Ghulam Nabi resident of Diyaroo was also injured.
Fire was brought under control with the help of fire tenders and police.
