SRINAGAR: The mother of Rasheed Mukhdoomi passed away. She was unwell for some time and was not keeping well. She has passed away Saturday evening, reports said.
Mukhdoomi is the printer and publisher of Greater Kashmir and Kashmir Uzma.
Family sources said she was at their Zakoora (Bismillah Colony) home and she breathed her last after the Maghrib prayers.
“She was unwell and would be occasionally taken to the hospital for routine check-ups,” one family member said. “Usually the doctor would visit her at her residence because of the pandemic situation.”
Her funeral prayers took place at around 10:30 pm and she was laid to rest shortly before midnight. The family has their ancestral graveyard at Mukhdoom Sahab.
Apart from Rashid, she is survived by five sons and a daughter.
