SRINAGAR: Gold prices in India increased on Tuesday, with the rate rising to Rs 13,549.95 per gram from Rs 13,463.78 on Monday, according to FXStreet data.
The price gained Rs 86.17 per gram, marking an increase of around 0.64 per cent from the previous day.
Gold was quoted at Rs 158,050.20 per tola on Tuesday, compared with Rs 157,038.90 a day earlier, an increase of Rs 1,011.30, or about 0.64 per cent.
According to FXStreet, the rate for 10 grams stood at Rs 135,504.30, while gold was priced at Rs 421,422.80 per troy ounce.
FXStreet said its India gold rates are derived from international gold prices and adjusted using the USD/INR exchange rate and local measurement units. The rates are updated daily and are provided as reference figures, with actual prices in local markets potentially varying.
The rise in domestic prices came as international gold remained above $4,400 per ounce on Tuesday, amid market expectations surrounding US interest rates and inflation.
