SRINAGAR: A joint search operation continued for the second consecutive day on Tuesday to trace and recover the body of a 31-year-old man suspected to have drowned in Nalla Madmati at Natipora in Bandipora district.
The missing man has been identified as Showkat Ahmad Gujjar, son of Mohammad Gulab Gujjar, a resident of Yali Banakoot in Bandipora.
The search operation is being carried out jointly by the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) Bandipora and Bandipora Police, with an additional SDRF rescue team from the battalion headquarters in Srinagar also involved in the operation.
Rescue personnel are continuing efforts to locate and retrieve the man from the waterway.
