Speaking to the media, Dr Andrabi said that she has completed her assigned responsibilities, and the final decision now rests with the government. “The sky is overcast, and multiple factors need to be reviewed before a decision is made,” she said.

She further said that necessary arrangements are in place for congregational prayers on Juma-tul-Vida and Lailat-ul-Qadr. However, regarding Eid prayers at Eidgah, she reiterated that the government would take a final call after assessing all aspects.

Notably, the historic Eidgah in Srinagar has traditionally hosted large congregational prayers during Eid. However, in recent years, these gatherings have been disrupted due to security concerns and adverse weather conditions. (KNO)
