Suspected militants on Saturday lobbed a grenade at police post in Aripal village of Tral area in southern Kashmir.
Officials said that in the grenade was lobbed late in the evening. A policeman was injured in the blast.
The injured was shifted to a hospital for treatment; he said and is stated to be in stable condition.
Pertinently, Kashmir valley was shut on Saturday to observe maiden anniversary of popular militant commander Burhan Wani, killed in an encounter with forces in Bamdoora village southern Kashmir’s Islamabad district.
