Grenade attack on CRPF party in Srinagar late Thursday evening left eleven paramilitary forces personnel injured.

Reports reaching here said that suspected militants lobbed a grenade at Ikhwan hotel in old Srinagar where a CRPF party is stationed.

The attack comes two days ahead of PM Narendra Modis’ visit to J&K.

Meanwhile, CRPF spokesperson has confirmed that a grenade was lobbed at Ikhwan hotel that houses 82 battalion CRPF.

“Eleven CRPF men have got injured,” Bhavnesh Choudhary, PRO CRPF, said. “The injured have been shifted to hospital for treatment and the area has been cordoned off to search for the militants,” a media report said.

Kashmir Life, however, could not independently confirm the incident. When contacted, police said, “we have no information/details about the incident, yet.”
