Moot Court

The two-day Shah-i-Hamdan (RA) Moot Court Competition concluded at the University of Kashmir on Thursday, with Central University of Kashmir lifting the winning trophy.

The Competition was organized by Law Society of the University’s Department of Law. 12 teams participated in it, out of which four teams competed in Semi Finals. The Final was held between Kashmir Law College and Central University of Kashmir teams.

KU Vice-Chancellor Prof Khurshid Iqbal Andrabi presided over the final session of the Competition and gave away prizes among winners and runner-up teams, best advocates, best researchers etc.

Member State Accountability Commission, Justice (retd) Bashir Ahmad Kirmani, was chief guest on the occasion.

“All the presenters were at their best with their advocacy and arguments and counter-arguments,” Justice Kirmani said.

Dean and Head, Faculty of Law, Prof Mohammad Ayoub Dar, said the Competition was held to enhance advocacy skills of students.

CUK lifted the winning trophy while Kashmir Law College emerged as the runner-up team.
