SRINAGAR
An encounter is reported to have started in Hajin area of Sumbal.
Initial reports suggest that two militants are believed trapped in a house. The army and the police have surrounded it and contact has been established.
Residents said the encounter is going on but so far not many details are available. The army had surrounded the spot during wee hours.
Off late, the counter-insurgency set up has increased its operations probably because anti-militancy operations were not taking place because of the protests. On Sunday army killed an engineer in Kakpora
