Residents of Aga Hamam, Habakadal whose houses were dismantled for road widening project held a protest demonstration in the area for seeking compensation which they were promised by administration.
“We are being told by the officials that they will give compensation estimated by the divisional administration before demolishing our properties. But so far, we have received nothing,” said a resident, adding that they will intensify their protest if administration does not listen to their pleas and pay them compensation on time.
They said that they are living in rented houses and are waiting for the compensation so that they could afford their own houses. The protestors appealed to the government to provide them compensation at an earliest.
