SRINAGAR

As senior separatist leader Masrat Alam was sent in to seven days police custody, Pakistan-based Jamaat-Ud-Dawah (JuD) chief Hafiz Mohammad Saeed ‘castigated’ Indian government for his arrest.

Alam, pertinently, was arrested on charges of indulging in “subversive activities” by J&K state government on Friday morning before being shifted to Budgam police station.

Reports quoting Saeed said, “Raising a Pakistani flag in Srinagar was not a crime.”

“Because Kashmir was not a part of India,” Saeed said.

An FIR was registered against Hurriyat G chairman Syed Ali Geelani, Masarat Alam and Peer Saif Ullah on Wednesday evening for ‘waiving Pakistani flags’ in rally organized by the amalgam to receive Geelani on his return from New Delhi after he spent his winter months there.

  1. “Kashmiri Youths”: Here comes the massiha.. Pakistan has already accept him as the new Prophet. Whether your felling of brotherhood is aroused or not? Will you join the noble cause of your new prophet or not? You have no right to question your new prophet. Whatever he says, that is the absolute truth.
