In Hajeej India embezzlement case, Police Tuesday said that it recovered Rs 50 lakhs more from Delhi based party and deposited into the account of Principal District and Session’s Court Srinagar.

Pertinently, Sessions Court had recovered an amount of Rs. 2.85 crore in this case from the accused Fabiyan Wahid Gilkar and his accomplices.

When contacted Superintendent of Police, City North, Tahir Saleem Khan told CNS,“that an amount of Rs. 2.85 Crore were earlier recovered while Consumer Redressal Commission have recovered an amount of Rs. 1.98 Crore from auction of the house of the accused..

“Today an amount of Rs 50 lakhs were recovered from Delhi based party and the Vehicle Outlander of the accused Fabiyan Wahid Gilkar seized by the Police has been put to auction through Reliance Insurance Company by Honorable Session’s Court Srinagar from which good amount is also expected,” he said.

He said that Honorable District and Session’s Court has already disbursed 49% of the payment of Hajj aspirants 2011 which they had  deposited  in Hajeej India Company in 2011 and each Hajj aspirant of 2011 have also received and amount of Rs. 18,000 per head from Consumer Redressal Commission. Moreover, some Companies also received money from Honorable Session’s Court Srinagar as well as from Consumer Redressal Commission.

In October 2011, hundreds of Hajj aspirants were duped by Hajeej India Hospitality Company of crores of rupees for which case vide  FIR number 58/2011 stand registered at Police Station Khanyar.

SP North Tahir Saleem Khan is investigating Officer of the case and case is being monitored by Principal District and Sessions Judge Srinagar
