Clashes erupted between the youth and government forces in Soura area of Srinagar on Monday after the funeral of slain militant Eesa Fazili was held.
Reports said clashes erupted between the government forces and militants in Soura after the youth of the area marched towards the residence of Fazili in Ahmednagar Soura.
The forces deployed in the area fired several tear-gas shells to disperse the protesters, triggering further clashes, reports claimed.
Fazili along with his two associates was killed during a gunfight between the militants and government forces in Hakoora village of district Islamabad on Monday morning.
