A complete shutdown was observed in Srinagar on Monday against the killing of three militants during the encounter between government forces and militants in Hakoora village of south Kashmir’s Islamabad district, even as restrictions remained imposed at several places to thwart protests.
To maintain law and order the authorities place a strict restriction in parts of Srinagar city including at the Old City.
All the shops and business establishments were closed and traffic was off the roads.
Pertinent to mention, three militants were killed during an encounter between the militants and government forces in Hakoora area of south Kashmiris Islamabad village on Monday.
