The district administration Srinagar has decided to impose restrictions in some parts of the city in view of the shutdown called by separatists against the killing of two youths in Handwara town.

Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr Farooq Ahmad Lone said that restrictions will be imposed in parts of the city that fall under jurisdictions of six police stations, including Rainawari, Nowhatta, MR Gunj, Khanyar, Safakadal and Maisuma.

Lone said that the Sikh community which is celebrating Baisakhi festival will be allowed to move during the day. “Sikhs will be allowed to move in view of the Baisakhi festival,” Lone told KNS.
