Hideout Busted in JK’s Rajouri, Arms Recovered

   

SRINAGAR: Security forces on Tuesday uncovered a militant hideout in the remote village of Darra Barachara in the Thanamandi area of Rajouri district and recovered a cache of arms and supplies, officials said.

“The joint operation, carried out by the Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police, led to the seizure of 10 Under Barrel Grenade Launchers (UBGLs), a damaged ammunition box, a blanket, plastic tarpaulin, medical supplies, utensils, and other daily-use items,” officials said.

Officials said the recovery indicates that the site may have been used by militants as a temporary shelter. However, no arrests were made during the operation.

Police said the search was part of ongoing efforts by security agencies to dismantle militant infrastructure in the Pir Panjal region. (KNT)
