Militant outfit Hizbul Mujahideen Saturday said that the “hollowness of Indian democracy has got exposed” as on the name of BJP, “Hindu fanatic organizations have been directly ruling India”.
Quoting Syed Sallahuddin, United Jihad Council spokesperson Syed Sadaqat Hussain said that Hizb Chief while appealing to the people of Jammu and Kashmir to observe January 26 as ‘black day’, said, “India has let loose a reign of terror in Kashmir.” “Innocent people are being murdered. Youth are arrested and leadership is being detained in their houses. Freedom of press is being muzzled. Whole Valley has been turned into army garrison,” he said.
“Since 1947, Indian troopers have martyred thousands of Kashmiri people who demanded right to self-determination and the process is going on. India has been using all the tactics to suppress the freedom movement in Kashmir. It has been resorting to extra-custodial killings and random arrests of innocent youth,” Sallahuddin said.
He “warned school administration not to force student to participate in India’s Republic Day celebrations”. “I appeal people to observe a complete shutdown on January 26 and give a loud and clear message to International community that they are against Indian occupation and will continue their struggle till it is not taken to its logical conclusion.” (CNS)
