SRINAGAR: Amid prevailing circumstances in Jammu and Kashmir, the Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura, has declared Sunday, May 11, 2025, as a working day in lieu of a holiday for all categories of staff, including those on deputation.
In a circular issued by Director SKIMS and Ex-Officio Secretary to the Government, Prof Mohd Ashraf Ganie, it has been impressed upon all faculty members, resident doctors, gazetted and non-gazetted staff, engineering services, paramedical/technical personnel, and Class-IV employees to ensure their presence without fail.
The directive applies to all employees currently deputed at SKIMS, Soura. The administration has further cautioned that non-compliance will be taken seriously and dealt with under relevant disciplinary rules.
The move comes in light of ongoing emergencies and is aimed at maintaining uninterrupted healthcare and essential services in the region.
