Stating that state congress leaders from Jammu and Kashmir must learn lesson from the recent defeat of Congress in the major three states of India, National Conference additional general secretary Dr Mustafa Kamal Monday said that the Congress high command must not take the reports of state congress as the gospel truth.

Kamal said that the defeat of Congress inn capital and other states cannot have the impact on Jammu and Kashmir and that the notion is wrong that whoever rules Delhi, rules India. “Congress has the deep roots in the political world and that it is possible that next time the party would come to power with the thumping majority”

Kamal said that the demand put forwarded by the state congress leaders that NC must surrender one seat for Congress in valley, Kamal said that the recent elections have at least gave the notion into the political spheres that the decision taken by the NC patron Dr Farooq was based on political wisdom and maturity.

Kamal while talking to KNS, mentioned that the defeat of the congress in the three major states of India has raised alarm within the political circles and that NC shares the concern of Congress at this time. “We want to tell Congess that in this hour of grief, NC is with you and will always be with you.”

Stating that the Congress must introspect the reasons behind such defeat, Kamal said that Congress has to take serious the issues that it has thrown in the backburner. “Handling Jammu and Kashmir has been the dark patches of the Congress and it has to now revise the strategies that it used to have about the same.”
