Out rightly rejecting the “Integral Part” statement of Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Spokesperson Vikas Swarup about Jammu & Kashmir, Hurriyat (g) Saturday termed the statement of Indian external Affairs Ministry as “ridiculous and misleading”.
Hurriyat (g) in a statement said, “the entire Jammu & Kashmir is a disputed territory which is waiting for its final resolution since last 7 decades. Kashmir issue is internationally acknowledged dispute and the whole world is witness to this historic fact that how India under its arrogance of power landed its troops in Jammu and Kashmir on 27 October 1947 and forcibly snatched the freedom rights of its people.”
“The Indian rulers from Lal Chowk to the Indian parliament and UNO have openly accepted the disputed nature of Kashmir and had promised the people of Jammu & Kashmir that they will be given a free and fair chance to decide their future but now this imperialistic country is backtracking from its promises and are using its entire state machinery to suppress the peaceful and genuine voices of the Kashmiri people,” the statement said.
Terming the statement of the Indian External Affairs Ministry spokesperson “as far from the historical facts”, the Hurriyat Conference said, “we can’t change the facts and realities just by closing our eyes or by restoring to false propagandas and if anybody is thinking like that then he is living into the fool’s paradise. Jammu & Kashmir is not any border dispute between India and Pakistan but it is the issue of the future of 15 million human beings living there and they are the only authorities to decide on this issue.”
Hurriyat statement further said, “Indian rulers and its policy makers should bear this thing in mind that the people of Jammu & Kashmir have never accepted the illegal and forced military occupation of India and they are fighting against this illegal control right from the day one and in this battle the Kashmiri nation have given tremendous and countless sacrifices so far.”
“The Kashmiri people are struggling for their just and genuine demands and no power in the world can stop them in achieving that goal. The Kashmiri nation will continue their freedom struggle till the presence of a single Indian solider on the soil of Jammu & Kashmir,” the statement added.
