Secretary general of Hurriyat Conference (g) and chairperson of his party Demcratic Freedom Party (DFP) Shabir Ahmad Shah was Wednesday released after six months of detention in a police station. He was arrested on July 13 and lodged in police station Raj Bagh.
A party spokesperson of DFP ina statement issued here said that Shah was released Wednesday afternoon and placed under house arrest.
He said since Shah was released in 2011, he was kept either under house arrest or in police detention for a period of 39 months and 27 days which include 227 Friday and 12 Eid prayers.
