Taking strong notice of the actions of the VDC members in Kiswan village of the Kishtwar district who forcibly tried to construct a temple on Muslim land and a murderous assault on the Islamic scholar Moulana Nisar Ahmad on its resistance, Hurriyat Conference (g) Tuesday cautioned the administration that if this hooliganism is not stopped forthwith, it will lead to serious consequences and a strong reaction will come out in the Valley against this.
In a statement to KNS a spokesman of Hurriyat (g) alleged, “Since the inception of the BJP-PDP coalition government, the miseries of the Jammu Muslims has shown tremendous increase and the saffron communal forces are targeting and harassing them in every possible way. The locals of the Kiswan Kashtiwar telephoned the Hurriyat office and informed them about the said incident. According to them, the Kiswan village is at the distance of 26 km from the Kashtiwar town where both Hindu and Muslims live. The VDC terrorists of this area have become more pro-active and fanatical and they have made the lives of the people a hell.”
“According to the locals the two terrorist commanders of the VDC Ashwani Kumar and Pappu Kumar led a Hindu mob of the area and forcibly occupied the land of the local Muslim resident Mohammad Iqbal Mir and then announced to construct a Temple at the place. The local Muslims led by the respectable scholar Moulvi Nisar raised their voice against this hooliganism; the said VDC terrorists attacked the Molvi Nisar and beat, abused and insulted him. On the occasion the terrorist commander of the VDC Ashwani Kumar threatened the locals that the Temple will be constructed in any way on this land and whosoever will oppose this move, he will lose his life. He openly challenged the local Muslims that either remain silent or migrate to Pakistan. The locals of the Kiswan village informed the Hurriyat office that the administration is still to do anything in this regard and the Muslims of that area have been left on the mercy of the VDC terrorists,” the spokesperson alleged.
“This situation has extremely threatened the Muslims of that area and they are thinking to migrate from that area,” he added.
While expressing deep concern and anguish over this situation, Hurriyat (g) spokesperson assured the Muslims of the Jammu division that the people of the Valley will stand by them in every condition and in every situation and they will not be left on the mercy of the ‘communal beasts.’
He cautioned the RSS and its allied parties in the Jammu region that we will not let them to repeat the history of 1947 and if need arises, thousands of Muslims from the Kashmir Valley will march towards Jammu.
